The rumour is that Google is looking to buy YouTube for $1.6 billion. YouTube has had informal talks with a number of companies about acquisition in the $1.5 - $2 billion range.
The discussions are still at a "sensitive stage", the Wall Street Journal reported on its Web site, citing a person familiar with the matter.
